This CD is a reissue of our 1992 cassette tape on Marimac. Here's our original band/album description:
Brothers Jeff and Rick, and Jeff’s wife, Susie, have been playing old time music since the late 1970s. The majority of instrumental pieces they play are tunes Jeff learned from fiddle players in Ohio. Several of these fiddlers can be heard on Seems Like Romance to Me: Traditional Fiddle Tunes From Ohio (Gambier Folklore Society #901), a project that resulted from Jeff’s long-term collection efforts in Ohio.
Lynn, originally from Nappanee, Indiana, played with the DEKALB String Band in Indiana and Michigan in the 1970s. Beth and Lynn were part of the Rhythm Gorillas of Kent, Ohio in the 1980s. They began performing with the Mules in the late 1980s, although the fivesome has been playing on the porch and for dances for many years.

This music was recorded and mixed at Merimac Recordings by Larry MacBride and issued on cassette tape #9056-C in 1992. Selections and album notes were by the Red Mules; program order by Rick Goehring; photo by Lois Unger. A Marimac "running master" was digitized by Paul Hamann, Suma Recording Studio [original tapes are lost]; remastered and cover design by Lynn Frederick.
